Hallucinations of a dying woman:
‘It’s a flower!
No, it’s a leaf, see the stem.
No, It’s a flower!’
‘Two, four, six, eight.
I’m dying.’
‘It’s a flower!’
Where are you in this scene?
I cannot understand
But listen to your cries,
Your struggle, your argument.
What is this flower
Or leaf you see.
I cannot separate the sides
of your argument:
A flower versus a leaf.
It could seem so trivial
but in your dying it is important
to find the answer.
Again, ‘It’s a flower.’
and ‘I’m dying!’ You need to know
the answer before you go.
